We settle into the flat. It’s cozy, but nice; should do us
well for the next 4 weeks. Since it’s the afternoon, we decide to try to stay
awake until the sun goes down. We head out to orient ourselves to our new neighborhood.
We find several coffee shops and a couple of grocery stores.
There are lots of restaurants within a couple of blocks, but we aren’t ready to
dine yet, so we strike out to the east along Westbourne Road until we get to
Queensway. We turn right heading toward Kensington Gardens.
After a couple of blocks, we find the Bayswater Arms, a pub.
The dinner bell has rung! We settle down to a Pint and Diet-Coke, and then dig
in to Fish & Chips (Wayne) and a Meat Pie (Amy). Tasty and filling.
We get back to the sidewalk and continue south toward Kensington
Gardens. On the way, we find a souvenir shop so that we can buy a box of tea
bags, should we need something to drink tonight. We continue to the Park. Our ulterior
motive is to find a good path for Amy to run. We don’t go too far into the Park
as we are tired. We just head for (our new) home. How long until we adjust
to the time change?
